At 1500 MST, Lt. Col. Maurice G. Bechtol, USAF, and his wife Mrs.
Bechtol, observed a silver disc southwest of Kirtland AFB. The object
was above 20,000 feet and on a northeast course. The
object appeared to waver on its axis. The object was in sight
for about 5 minutes.
Approximately 10 minutes later another object was observed in the
southwest on a constant course to the northeast. This object was in
sight for approximately 5 minutes.
