Willow Grove, Australia
February 15, 1963
Animal Behavior Feature:
Cattle (milk cows) reacted as a domed disc descended to a 75 foot altitude
about 75 feet away from them where it hovered making a “swishing noise.”
The witness described the cattle as follows: “They done everything bar turn
somersaults….,” and added that “They certainly played up.” (They
were spooked—jw.)
Joan Woodward, Animal Behavior Specialist:
At 7:10 am, as Charles Brew was milking his cows, an object descended
quickly at a 45 degree angle until positioned as described above.
Length of time of observation is not mentioned. After some period of time,
the object took off with a bang.
The object was described as 25 feet across and 9 feet high, with a dome
of a glass-like material with a 5-6 foot metallic-looking protrusion coming
from it. The middle section (below the dome) was a metallic-like gray,
and the bottom was rotating counter-clockwise. Scoop-like protrusions
around the side seemed to be making the swishing sound.
Brew reported a bad headache that started when he was looking at the
dome did not wear off until that night.
No EM effects were mentioned.
